Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

My Grandmother just passed away. All funeral arrangements were pre-paid. My uncle, who is the executor of my grandmother's will is no where to be found. We have been looking for him for about a year. Nobody else in the family has a copy of the will. Legally, how do we go about getting a copy and settling everything?

Sounds like a real mess.

If you can't find the ORIGINAL will or uncle Casper the ghost....the closest relative should apply for administrator as if this was an intestacy...based on you question, this seems like the best solution to a mess.
