Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

I have judgments and past due debts on my credit. I am going to be left monies in a will. Can they take this money from the estate to pay these bills? Should I not be named in the will and have everything left to my sister and then have her give me my half?

You are asking for advice on how to avoid paying your legitimate creditors. Unless you are willing to meet your obligations, pass up this inheritance. On the other hand, it may give you a legiimate opportunity to compromise your debts by trying to negotiate a lower settlement based upon the inheritance.
