Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New Jersey

non paid inheritancegift

HI,

My sister has power of attorney for my disabled Dad. Recently gifts of $12,000 were to be given to his children plus grandchildren...but so far my sister has not complied and sent us a check for my kids...

what can I do? Michael

Re: non paid inheritancegift

this is in your Dad's control, and he should be able to get it done. however, this could be messy. I have seen quite a few very unpleasant situations like this.

It makes sense for your Dad to talk to a lawyer, to get the things done that he wants done.

Call me if you like; I never charge for a first phone call.
