Legal Question in Workers Comp in New Jersey

No work for my restrictions so my hours were cut to nothing now I am out on medi

After fall from a step ladder. I was taken from job in Ambulance. I was docked 4 hours pay. Knee and back injury. There doctor said i could return to work same day he saw me at restricted work. Lift no more than 5lbs with mostly sitting work. No postion exists like this was put in fitting room. Bending lifting standing and walking required. they gave me a few hours that week. Went back to there doctor Physical therapy was just started . He changed my restrictions but i had no improvement in pain and walking and driving was very painful. Same restrictions

On my 3rd vist the restrictions changed to ''sitting '' only. Since there was no appropriate work they put me in a hidden postion. Hours were cut to nothing ..6 per week. and I worked injuring myself further. On my fourth vist was sent to Orthopedic. Now my employers orthopedic has taken me out of work for 1month. Since there was no appropriate work they put me in a hidden postion. With no hours. How do they go about giving me Workers Compensation Pay. Since my hours which were 35 -40 or more were cut to 6 hours.???

In New Jersey, you are entitled to receive compensation for your lost wages, medical expenses and potentially a lump sum award. Since a worker's compensation attorney will represent you on a contingent basis, you dont pay attorneys fees unless you recover money, you should consult an attorney immediately to help you with these problems. Call me at your convenience if you have any questions or would like representation

Sounds like you are getting the run around from your employer and the insurance company and the only way to get the benefits you are entitled to is to hire a lawyer who can fight for your rights which are:

In New Jersey, any employee, (even if you are a construction worker, secretary or injured in a car accident while working), injured at work, regardless of fault, may be entitled to three benefits:

1. Free medical care;2. Pay while unable to work; and 3. A cash settlement for loss of function caused by the work-related injury.

If you have a doctors note which says you cannot work or can only work with restrictions, and work has no light duty work, you are entitled to receive temporary disability benefits.

Please contact be for a free no-obligation consultation. There are no attorney fees unless you get a recovery. The insurance companies have lawyers - you should have one to protect your rights.
