Re: was hit by a truck intentionally

You might be. You should go to a personal injury lawyer who can investigate exactly what happened and why. There may be a different person or company which owns the truck, and it may turn out that there might be some insurance coverage. And what about your own auto policy - have the lawyer check and see if your uninsured motorists coverage applies.

These are "maybes" as it is impossible to tell without looking at exactly what each policy provides based on exactly what actually happened.

The lawyer might check this all out on a contingency if you have any injuries or damages.

No. Liability insurance only covers negligent acts, not intentional ones. There is no reason the other driver's insurance company should have to pay for a deliberate decision she made.

If intentional acts were covered, people who plan to commit acts of violence or vandalism would have no financial disincentive. In fact, some might go out and buy extra insurance so that they could cause greater harm. We wouldn't want a system that works that way.
