Legal Question in Disability Law in New York

My first cousin died without a will on October 10,2011. His brother has brought a petition to the surrogate court in New York City. In the petition he or his lawyer claim that he has no first cousins which is simply not true. How do I go about righting this obvious wrong.

You could send the attorney a letter and copy the surrogates court clerk. But if your deceased cousin had a brother, what would your interest in the case be? Under New York's intestacy laws, a cousin's interest as a beneficiary is quite remote.
