Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in New York

File motion to dismiss or overturn

Attorney has judgment against me that is 16 years old. I did not know about judgment until this past year. Attorney represented the other party which received award, but at the same time he was also my attorney. I filed complaint with N.Y. Attorney Grievance Committee which resulted in Attorney getting a Letter of Caution. How and what do I need to file to have this judgment dismised due to ''Conflict of Interest?''

This is a complicated procedure and a complicated matter. I am not sure you can challenge the judgement at this late juncture, unless you do so under very specfic grounds. My best advice is to get a lawyer and he will help decide what if anything else you need. You will only get one bite of the apple on this. better to get it right.

Good Luck.
