Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

Albany, NY - Payment Advice Statement

I have filed bankruptcy chapter 7 after my means test provided that the presumption does not arise, anyhow, I received a letter this morning stating that I have a deadline of ten days to send in ''Payment Advice Statements'' I have been to legal aid and they cannot help me within ten days and I am going to try the law library, can anyone tell me what payment advice statement is? Thanks in advance, I will check back to see if anyone was able to help. Thank you all.

Re: Albany, NY - Payment Advice Statement

The new bankruptcy laws require that you send all paystubs that you received during the 60-day period prior to filing, to the bankruptcy court, with a copy to the trustee. These are what "payment advice" statements are.

The law is very strict in that failure to do this in a timely manner will result in your case being dismissed.

The new laws are filled with litle landmines like this, which is why it is always best to retain a bankruptcy attorney.
