Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Auto accident resolution

November 2007 I was hit by a car running through a red light. The driver of the car told the police he saw a yellow light.

(1) His insurance company sent six letters to say it was waiting the other driver's written statement. It has been 5 months without any decision. I believe the other driver is not giving a statement because he knows he ran a red light.

(2) The auto shop still has not finished the repair (insurance assessment $8000), more than 4 months later. I am willing to pay whatever it has done, but it just can't finish but has also refused to transfer the job to another shop claiming the job is half-way.

What legal help can I get in resolving these two situations? Thanks.

Re: Auto accident resolution

You likely will not get any resolution until you sue the other driver. Speak to an attorney.
