Legal Question in Business Law in New York
In NY how can I (if I can at all)trademark a name/pharse that I coined that a co-worker now wants to use for a product in her new start up business. I came up with the name/phrase, I want to own it and sell it to her or someone else for use.

When it comes to intellectual property such as patents and trademarks you ought to consult an attorney since these are fairly complicated areas of law. In the unlikely scenario that you want to pursue this on your own you can look for more information on the United States Patent and Trademark's Office at www.USPTO.gov
