Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in New York

Voter Registration

My daughter is a high school student, and her Social Studies teacher is requiring the class to sign the NY Voter Registration form. Is this legal? Can she be forced to fill this out?

Thank you.

Re: Voter Registration

Absolutely no. In the U.S.A. we still have the right not to register to vote. Contact your daughter's school principle and tell him to put a leach on this rough teacher; otherwise you will sue the school board for deprivation of civil rights for unwarranted inference with your daughter rights under the 15th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
