Legal Question in Constitutional Law in New York

I am recently married. I have not yet changed my name. I would like to use my maiden name or a combination of my maiden and married name professionally. Can I legally do that or will I only be able to use my new married last name? My concern is that professionally not one will recognize me under my married last name.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

A. Yes. You may petition the court to change your name to a combination.
