How do I get out of an acknowledgement of debt that I signed

Not enough information for a complete answer. If you signed it when you were a minor (under the age of 18) you may have a defense. If you signed it when you were drunk and were not aware of what it was you may have a defense. If the acknowledgement was in a language you did not understand you may have a defense. If they held a gun to your head you may have a defense. ("gun" could be an actual pistol, or could be anything that proves you signed the writing under duress (threat). Other than that, your stuck. Other ways to avoid the debt include filing for bankruptcy (depending on how much you OWE and what you OWN). If you have nothing in the way of assets, the creditor would have nothing to take from you...
