Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in New York

i have a judgement against me in 1998 and i thought my boyfriend paid it off.. so i got a letter from a lawyers office a few months back... i told them it was sol... but they recently froze my bank account. I went to court in oct of this year and nothing was showing up but today i check the case number and it showes deposed on 06/02/2007. Can you tell me what is the meaning of this and what i can do to resolve this matter. This lawyer is not the original debt collect....

Not deposed, disposed. This means that there is a conclusion to the case (a judgment). The judgment is either a dismissal or an award for relief requested by the plaintiff. Based on your question, it seems that the case was disposed with a judgment granted in favor of the plaintiff against you.
