summons for medical bills

i just recieved a summons that was posted on my front door that has to do with medicala bills im assuming. from feb 2003 -april 2008. I have no recollection of these bills.We have had medical insurance all this time. I was wonder what i can do and isnt there a statue of limitation for part of these since its been so long if anything??

1. You must answer the summons. To do this you may retain an attorney. Or, you may go to the Clerk's office, explain that you need to answer the summons. The clerk should provide a form to help you do this.

2. You can request a copy of the bills from the plaintiff's attorney. Upon written request by law the plaintiff's attorney must provide a copy of the bills (together with such other relevent documentation you request).

3. The statute of limitations for breach of contract is 6 years. Nonpayment of medical bills is deemed a contract dispute.
