today i recieved a sheriff income execution on an old credit card bill/ I was under the impression due to statute of limitations i couldnt be hounded for this bill anymore? the entry date state 12/11/2000 i thought ny is 6 years for statute of limitations

If the entry date that you are referring to is the date of entry of a judgment, then the judgment is good for 20 years. Your only recourse may be to try and vacate the judgment. If ten years have passed since entry of the judgment, it would be difficult to do so - you would only be able to vacate the judgment if you were not properly served with the summons. Also, you would have to be able to show that you had no knowledge of the action until now.
