Background Checks and misdemeanors
Will a misdemeanor show up in a criminal background check for employment?
Re: Background Checks and misdemeanors
Yes, it will.
But often a misdemeanor can be 'sealed'. Sealing is a court order made on motion which will prevent the conviction from showing up on a backround check.
Very recent convictions are unlikely to be sealed and crimes that show someone is likely to be dishonest and lie/steal are unlikely to be sealed.
Most others are likely to be approved.

Re: Background Checks and misdemeanors
The simple answer is yes, however one may petition the court for a release from civil disabilities. This aides in future employment possibilities.
