Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

bail bonds

Do all bonds have to have a house or propery for collateral? Can you have the 10% of bond with signatures? I want to get my brother out to visit with family before his trial starts, but have no property to put up. Any ideas would be greatful.

Re: bail bonds

Generally there is no property necessary, however the fee is not usually tem percent, usually quite a bit more...

Much luck, confirm the fee on the bail with the bondsman before anything, any bail bonds agency will be able to answer these questions in detail, an attorney is perhaps not your best bet to inquire about specifics...

Look up localbail bondsmens and inquire there
