Re: bail

As Mr. Potashnik said, this must be a serious matter.

If a criminal defendant is represented by a lawyer, bail is very rarely set this high.

This could be satisfied either by cash or by a bailbondsman, and a pitch could be made to the judge who set the bail that it be secured by property, by a guarantor or by signature bond (depending on what court your in.

If you would like to discuss this matter, please feel free to contact me.

As stated above there are many different avenues to take. A judge is more lenient if you can propose to him/her an alternative.

Re: bail

A bail that high is usually set for serious charges. If by "taking care" you mean reduction, there are procedures for bail reduction. However, once bail is set, the defendant has an uphill battle to reduce it.

Bail reduction is not a trivial matter and you need to discuss this with an attorney.
