Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I had called the cops after my boyfriend and I had a fight. I told them what really happened but also said I didn't want to press charges or have him arrested. They arrested him anyway and now there's a full order of protection for me. I just want him to be able to come back home and be able to see our son. I wrote the DA a letter with a slightly different version so the charges can be dropped and the full order reduced to limited. Is what I did considered perjury? and what will happen to me?

The DA's office will want you to cooperate fully in order to pursue criminal action against your boyfriend. If you do not cooperate they are more likely to drop the charges against him eventually since you are the complaining witness. if you need a consultation, call my office to set up an appointment at 718-616-1414.
