Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
My daughter is currently 14 years old and have just found out tonight that she had sexual relations with a 17 year old boy. Apparently sexual favors were exchanged both ways. As an extremely enraged father (words cannot describe the feeling), i would like to know what exactly i can do to this poor excuse of a young man within the state's laws without completely destroying my daughter's reputation at school. Thank you very much!

Well, I have no answer regarding your daughter's reputation at school. As you may know the boy is at the age of consent while your daughter is not. You can file a complaint with the police for statutory rape which is the case of having relations with someone under the age of consent. You might want to consult a criminal defense attorney before taking any action.
