Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Dear Sir/Madam,

My daughter Grace was the tresurer for a non profit organization. She is very low income with 1 child, her husband lost his job in Oct,09. Feeling desprate and not knowing how to make ends meet(rent, insurance car payment ect... She started to use the credit card from the organization in which she was working for.( she took aprox. $ 8,000.0000.

She has never been in legal trouble before. I know she has no way to to make restituation or hire an attorney and her family dosen't have that kind of money or great credit.

what advice can you give me for her, and worst case senario that she could be looking at ?

Thank you for your help.
