Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York
Grand larceny
I have a friend who was arrested and chaged with 2 counts of grand larceny in the 3rd degree and one count of identity theft. She has been working for an 83 year old women who is mentally competent and over the past 13 months they maintaned a mothe and daughter relationship. In total she was given $100,000 in cash and a brand new benz valued @ 80,000. The daughters found out recently how generous their mom has been and went to the DA office and stated that the aide cooherced her mother to be so generous and her mother is not in her right state of mind. The aide never signed any thing nor did she present to be the eldelry woman. What do you think will be the out come on this case?
