Gun Possession

if you were stopped and a concealed weapon was found and was your first offense, was out on a 2500$ bail, is it a possiblity that you wont have to do time? is it possible to just have probation?

It depends on the county. Some jurisdictions require jail even for first-time offenders. BUT, there are always exceptions. You are welcome to call to discuss the exceptions.

Your question is not specific enough to receive a direct answer, that being said in N.Y.C. there are now special parts handling gun cases with the purpose of prosecuting these cases to the fullest extent of the law. This means even first offenders are subject to a mandatory jail term of one year. Did you have a permit for the gun?
