Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Hi,

when i appeared in Court,

the assistant district attorney LIED to the judge

about the Cash Value of some Property.

the ADA told the judge that the Property was worth

about TEN TIMES MORE than its REAL cash value.

Apparently the ADA wanted the judge to think that

Petty Larceny was Grand Larceny.

Apparently the ADA wanted the case to look much more Serious to the judge.

did the ADA commit a violation by telling a LIE to the court ?

should i REPORT it to the DA ?

Prosecutors almost never verify anything to the Courts themselves. A police officer or investigator make a sworn statement, usually in the form of a complaint or information and the Prosecutor argues the merits to the Judge.

To get the DA in trouble you would need to prove that the DA knew that the sworn statements by law enforcement were false. As we can see, that would be difficult to prove.
