Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

Marijuana Possesion with Speeding ticket (NY)

I was pulled over for going 16mph over the limit and the cop searched my car and found a marijuana cigarette. Both charges (speeding, possesion) represent my first offense in NY, so do i plead guilty to the possesion and not guilty to the speeding ticket in hopes of getting it reduced?

I would not suggest pleading guilty to anything without having proper consultation with an attorney on this case. Overall, an attorney can get your marijuana case possibly dismissed due to it being your first offense, with a little work... and then go from there.

Plead not guilty on both, get a trial date and then contact my office for a free phone consultation.Call 7188340087. When both matters are set for trial or conference it may be possible to negotiate an appropriate "plea bargain".
