I received a appearance ticket for disorderly conduct 240.20 sub-division one. I was breaking up a fight and didn't leave when the officer warned me to. I am not sure what this means and what possible punishment I face. I have a couple disorderly conducts on my record for public urination about two years ago. Should i get a lawyer and what are the chances that I might have to do jail time.

go to court without a lawyer and see what the plea offer is. Probably just a fine.

You can go to court without a lawyer. The Legal Aid Society will almost certainly pick up the case and explain it all to you. Disorderly Conduct (240.20) is a violation and not a crime. Though technically it can carry a sentence of up to 15 days in jail, the likelihood of that happening is nil. Worst case you will receive a fine but you might even get an ACD which is a dismissal.
