violation section 245:00 penal law

i have been issued and appearnce ticket after i was arrested and i was wondering should i ask for an attorney. i have been charged with public lewdness.

Public lewdness is a crime and could cause you a criminal record. There is also a move on in Albany to make this a registerable misdemeanor under Megan's law. YOU MUST HAVE AN ATTORNEY. If you can't afford one, get one appointed.

Ideally you should hire your own attorney, but if you can not afford to then once you appear for the DAT (appearanc ticket) you may ask that an attorney be appointed for you.
