Legal Question in Criminal Law in New York

I just witnessed my boyfriends father hit his mother in the face moments ago. He is on parole due to felony charges however, multiple people have heard him make extremely vulgar, violent threats towards her, and currently abuses drugs. I do not have access to his parole officers contact information but I would like to obtain that, also, I would like to know what we can do legally to set him straight and get justice for this wonderful, now single, mother of two. She has no marks on her however, I saw everything happen. He is gone now but, when asked to leave he refused. I would like this piece of dirt put back behind bars(his home sweet home). ALSO, while all of this was occurring, the mothers 2 year old nephew was in the room.

You could report this to the police. However, it would be the victim's place to file a complaint. She should talk to a domestic abuse counselor about filing a complaint. You were certainly a witness and would be helpful to her case if she does file one.
