Legal Question in Discrimination Law in New York

Reverse descrimination regarding Title IX

A Middle/high school has a girls lacrosse program. But does not have a boy's lacrosse program. There are 110 boys in the 7 and 8 grades. Surveyed, 25% of those boys want to play lacrosse on a scholastic team. There are 10 other high schools that have a boy's program. Is the school required to formulate one? They do receive federal support. Is a law suit required to persuade them or would a warning that they are in violation of Title IX suffice?

Re: Reverse descrimination regarding Title IX

Sounds like a reverse Title IX to me. Beats me if the school would respond to a demand letter. Try it, if it works, fine if not, call a lawyer.
