Legal Question in Education Law in New York

suspension

My son is suspended since last week and the hearing was today. The Assistant Principal said my son was one of 5 boys who jumped a student in the boys bathroom, and that he repeatedly struck and repeatedly kicked the student because the student didn't want to join in their gang. During the hearing the student (the victom) clearly stated that the other boys were involved and my son was not. The victim acknowledged that he was the one who initiated the fight to get out of the gang and was trying to go into another gang. My child is awaiting result for a Superintendent suspension for something he had no part of. I am annoyed with the school for the way they handeled the situation. What can I do?

Re: suspension

Write an appeal to the ROC at once with a copy to the Chancellor.
