Copyrights on sportswear

I recently created a new Sports jersey from one of my local teams.(sort of like an old timer's jersey),It has their trademark insignia on the jersey,which i know is copyrighted.How can i sell this product or get it copyrighted to sell it?

The short answer is that you can't independently copyright your jersey logo design. This is becuase from the sound of it, your design directly incoporates the local team's logo. This is potentially both copyright infringement and trademark infringment. You will most likely have to seek a license from the copyright and trademark holders of the team's logo, before you can sell a jersey bearing your design.

You need to get a license from the copyright owner. Usually, the owner will give you the license for a percentage of the sale.
