In NY, a child under 21yo, is a minor and generally, will not be deemed by a Court, as emancipated, if they are not self supporting.

Therefore, although parents of a 13yo who is pregnant or a mother, cannot be held responsible for their child's child, they are generally not relieved of their child support obligation to their minor child.
