If the case is a NJ case, you would file a Motion to reduce your child support based on substantial change of circumstance. It may be premature, however, since the Court would likely require you to show attempts that you have tried to obtain a job and could not do so. Also, your chances of success may be affected by any unemployment monies or other sources of income.

You need to go back to court to modify your alimony so that you can pay child support. You have significantly changed financial circumstances.
