Child Support

My son is 19 and moved in with father 6 mos ago. My daughter is 17 lives with me. She wants to go to college. Does her father have to pay half the college costs in addition to his regular child support?

If your divorce agreement is silent on the issue, then you can ask a court to require him to pay his fair share. You file for this as a support issue in family court.

Is there a support order issued by the court? If so, if it does not make provisions for college expenses you have to go back to court and request that he help pay. The amount will be determined based on several factors, one being the cost of college and the ability to pay.
