Legal Question in Family Law in New York

If there is nothing in my court order regarding the age to support my son who is going to be 20 and is now deciding to go to college because I was going to drop the support, can I still drop the support or do I have to continue because he has decided to go?

Without a full review of your support order, it's impossible to be certain. However, ordinarily support is required until the child is 21 or until he or she is legally defined as emancipated.
