Give up parental rights

My brother inlaw at age 15 slept with his teacher she got pregnant and now after 12 years she decides to file for child support and she wont even let the child visit him his wife or their children. he wants to give up his parental rights. How can we make that happen? he goes to court on 06/20/08

What you need is legal intervention. Assuming that she wants to have her husband adopt the child, this can be arranged.

Has your brother in law ever been recognized by the court as being the father, has he ever admitted to it. In other words, has paternity been established.

Ther is a lot to think about here - Isn't this statutory rape because he was a minor. If the school where the mother teaches finds out about this, they could suspend her and take away her teacher's certification.

Has he ever filed for visitation, which would force the mothers hand. She can't stop visitation and still want support.
