Legal Question in Family Law in New York

living in new york if my child has turned 18 and is no longer in school, (high school graduate and has not enrolled in college), am i obligated to pay child support until hes 21?????????? (we just seperated in june and neither of us has began legal proceedings for a legal divorce or a seperation.

Does the child live with you?

If the child lives with you and is not declared emancipated you may be required to pay.

The previous answer is correct, unless the child is emancipated, you are still obligated to pay court ordered child support until 21 years of age.
