Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Notorized letter

Can a witness make a statement in a notarized letter instead of showing up in court? I am in a custody case and I was asked do I have any witness to testify. The person is unable to come but will write a letter.

No. The witness must testify in Court and make him or herself available for cross-examination.
