Re: peaceful protest

This is a Constitutional Law question, not a domestic relations question.

Pursuant to the First Amendment of the US Constitution "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

You, of course, will have to obtain a permit from the city for your peaceful protest.
