Legal Question in Family Law in New York

I am the personal needs guardian of my mother. I would like to know what are my rights as it pertains to the hiring/ and or firing of a property guardian? Who does the property guardian work for if my mom is considered an mentally unstable(IP)? what are my rights as the only child in general?

You will have to petition the court to appoint a guardian for your mother. You should contact an attorney directly to discuss this since it will require a very specific and intensive filing to bring the court to your way of thinking. Courts are reluctant to override a person's rights and appointing a guardian or administrator for a person is overriding a person's rights.
