Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Social Security number for divorce?

Do I need to have a Social security number to file for a divorce? I am a non citizen, got married in new York, My husband is citizen and resident of NY and has agreed to uncontested. We got the forms packet and there is a part for my social security #. Can I just write ''None'' in that space?

yes, you can. Some write in their visa number (indicating it as such). If you would like me to review your forms, you are welcome to a consultation at no fee at my offices at 42 west 44th st., NY,NY. Please call for an appointment first. (646) 591-5786
