social security number

my friend is incarcerated in upstate NY he is trying to do a uncontested divorce packet, his wife refuses to give him her social security #, we have looked through all the county records where they were married and there is no record of their marraige, is there any way he can get her social security number? It isnt like he can sue her from within the prison.He wants this done before he gets out.

This should not be very difficult. If the marriage documentation and city records do not include her SS#, she can still be sued for divorce and the divorce can still be granted.

At worst, the court can be asked for an order to her to disclose the information.

There should be some help avaiable in the prison. In the absence of such help, my fee for everything would be $400.
