Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My ex wife let my daughter drop out of high school. They are both lying to me about it.What can I do about? Did she need consent from me? I am not the primary custodial parent.

You need a lawyer on this-this can affect so much, esp her future. No one is getting a job w/o a college degree and even then, the degree needs to be the right type (e.g. engineering) and from a good school (ones that don't take GEDs). Common sense tells everyone that employers are extra-picky-even Columbia grads better be in the top 10%! I also know what it takes out there, and I am on the Alumni Council at my alma mater and work with law school interns who are all working their butts off-or else!. Frankly, we pay a great deal of money on Long Island for our good public schools-it is a waste not to take advantage. You may not be the primary physical custodial parent but that does not necessarily mean you don't have joint legal custody. I cannot tell what is going on her w/o seeing paperwork but the firm I am Of Counsel to has been around 50 years and we know how to handle things, and the main office is just off the L.I.E./Northern State/Sunken Meadow (takes me about 25 minutes to get to Riverhead court). You can call me at (631) 543-7667 so we can figure this out before it is too late.
