My wife (plantiff) served me (uncontested) divorce papers, I signed. How long does she have to sign before the divorce if final?

Depending on the County it takes 3-11 months once all the papers are properly submitted. You can find out if the case has been filed wither online at e-courts [ http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/webcivil/FCASMain ] or by calling the local Supreme Court Matrimonial Part. If you call, call in the afternoon as the clerks are usually busyist in the mornings.
