Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

I allowed my uncle to stay with me for a month and we had a verbal agrrement that he would pay bi-weekly but he left without ever giving me anything can i pursue this in court?

Yes, anyone can sue. However, if you don't have evidence of the agreement (text, facebook, e-mail, witness) and he denies an agreement exists, you will probably lose.

If you have his contact information, simply put in writing the fact that he has not paid you $x in accordance with your agreement. If he explicitly or tacitly admits he owes the money, you have the evidence to pursue the matter. Of course, you'll have to save the document for court.
