Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

customer verbally assaulted by employee of a major retail chain

I was verbally assaulted (unprovoked attack) by an employee of Bj's wholesale club. She walked up to me calling me a Bitch and other such things. I also overheard her threatening me. When I told her to leave me alone she continue to say derogatory things to me. She was not fired on the spot and I want to know what I can do now, can I sue Bj's for not firing her and hold them responsible for her actions?

Probably not, you can however shop elsewhere and send a letter to the store explaining your decision.
