Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

News paper photo of minor

In a local newspaper they priinted a photo of my daughter and her friend. They printed her age (12) and the towne that she lives in and her first and last name. Without my approval. Is this legal? Do I have any recourse? I am now concerned about the safety of my daughter after this.

Assuming this was a news story, and not an advertisement, then yes, the publication is legal.
