Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

oral contract for more than $5K

My question concerns the enforceability of an oral contract for approximately $100,000. My father and I had an agreement that if I completed law school in a reasonable amount of time, he would repay all my student loans. I graduated in 3.5 years. I've chosen not to practice, and for that reason he is now refusing to repay my loans (though he did already repay about 25% of them). Do I have any remedies?

Re: oral contract for more than $5K

It appears that your father owes you nothing given the fact that you are unable to answer a question that routinely asked of first year law students.
