Legal Question in International Law in New York

I am a Canadian citizen with a green card, working in the USA for an American company. I have a client I will be working for in Canada and need to travel there to conduct business. Are there are legal issues or constraints I should be aware of?

Not staying abroad for longer than 6 months at a time (to preserve continuity of residence for naturalization), and not to stay abroad for longer than 1 year uninterrupted (in order to preserve your perm. residency/ green card).

And of course, paying taxes in USA even on income earned abroad.
